American Innovation Pavilion
As the digital era unfolds, the United States Department of State, in cooperation with local partners in Europe, has started to establish digital innovation centers, where an array of the latest digital equipment is provided. Established in 2014, the American Innovation Center (AIC) in Taiwan is the first of its kind in Asia.
AIC offers lectures and programs on four major themes — innovation, entrepreneurship, digitalization, and culture and design. For that purpose, the AIC, combining the innovative technologies from the United States and the entrepreneurship in Taiwan, set up the American Innovation Pavilion, which will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), robots, the Internet of things (IoT), virtual reality (VR), digital learning, and the maker movement. Through experience activities and exhibitions, the American Innovation Pavilion wants to give the visitors a sneak peek at the future of technology and even help them build their own entrepreneurship ventures.
