Since we are facing difficult times in a global economy, it’s a great opportunity and challenge for designers, to become their best, releasing the full potential. Designers have to break the boundaries and become even more creative than before, 2014 Taiwan Designer’s Week will be great place to prove their ideas are “Unlimited”.
For already eight years TWDW Taiwan Designers’ week have been aiming to educate the public within it’s relatively small population and promoting local talents overseas.
In recent years, Taiwan’s visibility in the world of design has significantly increased. With our wealth of technical support and hard work boiled in a cultural melting pot, Taiwan managed to create a unique style in the scale of not only Asia but also of the whole world.
This year’s exhibition will put strong emphasis on different angles of design in Taiwan: technology, lifestyle, culture and materials used in process.
This year we are also proud to give a special tribute to the Taiwanese designers who’s works made a successful appearance during the last years Milan design exhibitions. Working hard for many years they gradually managed to construct so-called Taiwan’s design style. Using the lifestyle experience and folk culture, transformed the traditional craft into a contemporary and modern design.
The interest built by the foreign media around the event created a strong communication link with many international design groups. This year we will be hosting Design Museum Holon from Israel as well as designers from Canada, Japan and Singapore.

In addition to the exhibition, we are also planning series of activities, including design seminars. Overall schedule is very diverse so everyone will find something to satisfy the personal tastes and interests. You will be able to participate in countless amount of workshops. Our engaging tutors will discuss even the topics like food design and wearable technology.
